Our second full day at sea and third day of cruising. Slept in till 12:15 pm. Great sleep, felt good. After our showers, it was the day to change the Scopolamine seasickness patches we stuck behind the ears on the first day. Neither of us has experienced any nausea yet. I guess we can attribute that to the patches, the calm seas so far or maybe we're just good sailors. Joined Bert and Laverne for lunch in the Grand Restaurant. Sat with two other couples, which included two sisters from Texas. As they were veteran cruisers, the table banter didn't lag too much so lunch was enjoyable. Now, that's not saying that Bert couldn't carry the conversation, but it helped. After lunch, we made plans for tomorrow that included reserving seats on the shuttle that would get us into downtown Stockholm. Lee and Carole went off to Bingo at 4:30, so I made my way back to the casino for an hour or so where I made a few bucks again. After my mildly successful run at the casino, it was back to the cabin for some R&R and naptime before dinner. Meanwhile Lee had arrived back from her bingo empty-handed. Darn! Just before our call to dinner, we sat on our balcony and enjoyed the view as we passed by the Swedish island of Gotland. After dinner at our regular table in the Grand Restaurant, it was back to the casino for Lee and I. Lost what I won earlier in the day. Oh well! The Constellation, which has been dogging us for a couple of days now, passed us again just before midnight. |
