Up at 7:00 a.m. for our last minute packing, then off to the airport at 11:00. Left Edmonton on time at 1:55 p.m. on Northwest Airlines 1040 Airbus A319 for the 2 hour 40 minute flight to Minneapolis. Smooth flight with no frills, but had the exit seats so no lack of legroom and no one reclining their seats into our laps.

We were fifteen minutes late into Minneapolis due to having to skirt a thunderstorm so we only had a one hour layover. Then it was on to the NWA 43 Airbus A330 at 7:00 p.m. for Amsterdam and away we went on schedule. Had an airline dinner then off to sleep with the help of some Zoplicone for the 8 ½ hour flight.
